Easy Home Remedies For Pimples
from:Leigh Sharise
It's nearly time to for bed, and you only just now realize that you forgot to go to the store for your acne treatment cream. That, or maybe your internet order didn't arrive in the mail yet. For now, the best thing to do is to use some home remedies for pimples.
It may come as a surprise to learn that common things you have in your house can help you get rid of pimples. If you try them, you might discover that they work so well that you'll want to switch to these remedies permanently.
If you have ready access to roses, you might want to try a nightly rose steam. This is where you place fresh rose petals in a bowl of hot water, letting them steep. You then hold your head over the bowl with a small towel draped over your head.
Not only will you experience some very soothing aromatherapy, the nightly opening of your pores will help keep them from closing in on themselves, becoming clogged, and forming zits.
An aspiring mask is an intriguing approach to skin care, and one of the more inventive home remedies for pimples. Crush six to eight uncoated aspirin tablets in a bowl and combine them with a few drops of warm water or honey.
You'll apply this to your face and leave it on for fifteen minutes or so. Once you notice the mask is flaking off, gently rub it off with a mild cleanser. Gently pat your face with a towel to dry. This is a good exfoliating mask you can use a couple of times a week.
Then we have toothpaste, a good weapon against zits. Place a little dab of non-whitening, non-gel toothpaste on your pimple before you retire at night. You could also use calamine lotion instead. This will dry out your pimple during the night, so it'll be less noticeable the next day.
Another highly effective preventative remedy for pimples is water. Yes, water. But you don't put it on your skin. The water needs to be IN your skin.
If you ever get the chance to be a fly on the wall at a photo shoot or runway show, you might notice that the models are almost never without water to drink. Drinking your full eight glasses of water each day goes a long way toward keeping your skin clear.
There's no scientific proof that says all home remedies for pimples are effective, but some people have great success with them. To get the best results, you'll need to try different remedies to see which ones work for you.
