Seeing a dermatologist if you have a severe case of acne is probably best, but gaining control of the acne is the most important thing. It is important because you take back control and stop the ruin.

Often you don’t need to go to a dermatologist, the cures are right there you just need to know your enemy.

Oil, dirt and bacteria is almost always present, and this is what causes a problem. How? When these are mixed with dead skin cells your pores become clogged and this results in your pores becoming infected.

All this results in acne, so invariably it is a reaction. When the pored become clogged and congested pimples form. Bacteria helps to spread the infection and you have a breakout.

The real problem is the overproduction of oil and bacteria, therefore getting rid of the dirt by washing is the easiest.

Excess oil is secreted from the body through sweat, which is why sweat has an odor. Acne results if this process is blocked, so if you want to control acne you have to keep pores unclogged and remove dead skin cells and dirt.

The answer to the acne problem has more to do with “high end” maintenance. Taking care of and treating the acne area is essential, to eliminating the condition. You need to start pampering yourself.

You have to treat acne maintenance like a job, it is ongoing but worth while if the result is getting rid of acne.

Using a defoliant scrub pad twice a day will help to get rid of dead skin cells, and then clean the area with a soft cloth and mild soap.

You should read the label before buying any acne treatment, because you may be buying a harsh product meant for sever acne, when you only have a mild case, if you use it, it may make the acne worse. Make sure that you only use mild, all natural products.

Acne is a condition that you treat from the outside, as well as the inside. Look at your dietary habits. If you find that you are having more acne breakouts, because of the foods you eat, then pay attention to what you are ingesting. Most junk foods will have a lot of chemical additives and preservatives that can cause allergic reactions, when they are processed in your system. Most processed foods will have some of these chemicals.

Overall, living an acne free life can be realized. It is an adjustment from what was, to what it is, now. By keeping your acne in check and realizing what the causes are, you are more prepared to stay on top of the conditions and win.
